Marissa Chisolm is a classically trained Afro-Latina Broadway actress and filmmaker, originally from New York and currently based in Los Angeles . She recently graduated from the BFA Acting program at the University of Southern California in Acting for Stage, Screen and New Media. Her artistic vision is deeply rooted in coming of age narratives that explore themes of identity, vulnerability, and the complexities of human relationships.

When she's not immersed in the world of acting and filmmaking, Marissa finds solace in the beauty of nature. She enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking through scenic trails, practicing meditation to find inner peace, or indulging in the timeless charm of old films.Beyond her artistic pursuits, Marissa has a keen interest in self-growth and spirituality. She delves into subjects that nourish her soul and expand her understanding of the world around her.

Marissa's creative journey took a significant leap forward with her first short film, "Season of Expectations," which she co-wrote and starred in. The film garnered recognition and was screened at the prestigious Mammoth Film Festival in March 2024. Buoyed by this success, Marissa is currently engrossed in writing her next project, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to share it with the world in the near future.
